Fuzhou Research Institute of Sustainable Development in Cities Co., Ltd. was established in December 2023. It is affiliated with Fuzhou Yecheng Development Group Co., Ltd. and is a second-level state-owned enterprise under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Fuzhou Municipal Government. It was formed by the Fuzhou Planning and Design Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., arranging personnel in accordance with the Fuzhou Municipal Government's in-depth implementation of the People's City concept and sustainable development strategy.

From 2021 to 2023, the institute continuously assisted Fuzhou in applying for the UN-Habitat Award, laying a solid foundation for our sustainable development work.

From May to October 2023, it helped Fuzhou win the first Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities, making a significant contribution to comprehensively showcasing Fuzhou's urban image and enhancing its international influence.

On December 25, 2023, Fuzhou Research Institute of Sustainable Development in Cities Co., Ltd. was officially established. With achieving sustainable development as its goal, it focuses on cutting-edge theoretical studies, technological product innovation, and cultural awareness promotion in the field of sustainable development. The institute is committed to promoting the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in local cities as well as globally.
